In a first, Citroën is offering a 7-seater version of the all-new C3 Aircross on Petrol and Hybrid powertrains. The design of the rear quarter panel creates a square, vertical stance, providing ample space for the third-row passengers with a large rear door and easy-tilt seat backs in row 2 to facilitate access to this third row, which features two comfortable and retractable extra seats. Available whenever necessary, they consist of a seat and two backrests that can be folded 50/50, providing a flat load surface when not deployed with a cover to house any necessary cargo. In its 7-seat version, the C3 Aircross offers the same knee-to-knee length in row 2 as the C3, elbow width that is 25 mm wider than the category average, and generous headroom. In 5 seat versions, C3 Aircross has a 40/60 bench seat that is 65 mm further back than on the 7-seater version. The result is very generous space in row 2, with the best knee room in the category with 80mm compared to the segment average. With all seats deployed, the boot volume is 330 litres, and 40 litres in the 7-seat configuration.
The all-new C3 Aircross range is embodied in two silhouettes that are identical in their design and dimensions - a 5-seater available in petrol, hybrid, and electric, and a 7-seater available in petrol and hybrid. The C3 Aircross benefits from a palette of six strong shades including Perla Nera Black, Mercury Grey, Elixir Red, Monte Carlo Blue, Polar White and Montana Green, paired with the two available roof colours - white and black. MAX grade models will benefit from a bi-tone roof dependent on the colour, meanwhile PLUS grades will be a cost option. New C3 Aircross can be personalised using colour clips in three different colours, each coordinated with the body colour. Citroën will offer additional colour clips as accessories, in the form of kits of 4 pieces, for more extensive customisation.
The streamlining of the all-new C3 Aircross range goes hand in hand with rich equipment at the first trim level, PLUS. This comes standard with Citroën Advanced Comfort® suspension, automatic air conditioning, 10.25 inch easy to use touchscreen with wireless Apple Carplay and Android Auto, active safety brake, lane keep assist, cruise control with speed limiter, rear parking sensors with reversing camera, LED headlights and daytime running lights, and 17'' diamond-cut alloy wheels. The second level, MAX, additionally offers 3D LED rear lights, a white or black tinted roof depending on the body colour, 3D navigation, wireless smartphone charging, heated steering wheel, heated acoustic windscreen, heated driver and passenger seats, blind-spot detection, front parking sensors and electrochrome auto-dimming interior mirror.
In line with Citroën’s focus on accessible, people-centric solutions, its new compact SUV offers a range of different powertrains at an ultra-competitive price. The all-new C3 Aircross is based on the Smart Car platform, designed to accommodate a range of internal combustion, hybrid and electric vehicles. In a rarity in this segment, Citroën introduces a 100 bhp turbo petrol powertrain from €27,790 for 5 seat and €28,990 for 7 seats. This 3-cylinder PureTech Turbo 100 6-speed manual is coupled with a six-speed manual transmission and will provide a comfortable entry level to the model. The all-new C3 Aircross showcases another new powertrain in its Hybrid 136 version from €29,390 for 5 seat and €30,590 for 7 seats. The 48V hybrid uses the new-generation 1.2 PureTech engine developed specifically for hybrids. It has a variable geometry turbocharger and a timing chain that contributes to its robustness, combined with an e-DCT electrified dual-clutch automatic transmission. For the first time in the family B-SUV segment, Citroën is offering an electric version of its 5-seater C3 Aircross from €28,452 including grants. Perfectly suited to the driving habits of customers in this segment, the electric version is powered by an 83 kW/113 bhp motor combined with a 54 kWh LFP (Lithium Iron Phosphate) battery with a WLTP range of 400km. New ë-C3 Aircross will charge from 20% to 80% in around 4 hours on a 7kW charger, 2 hours and 50mins on 11kW and just 26 minutes on a 100kW fast charger.
All models are now available to test-drive at local Citroën dealerships nationwide and are available with low-rate finance, Citroën’s 5-year unlimited mileage warranty, 3 year’s roadside assistance and free home charger in partnership with Energia.
