The e-HDi micro-hybrid technology combines an HDi engine with a new-generation Stop&Start system and a system to recover energy during deceleration. The HDi engines on the Citroën C4 Picasso are fitted with a particulate filter (DPFS), which traps and burns the particles produced by the engine. This brings the level of particulate emissions from the car to barely measurable levels.
